867 affected by Taal Volcano eruption-DSWD

More than 860 families or the equivalent of nearly 3,300 individuals were affected due to the Taal Volcanom eruption, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
According to DSWD Region IV-A, a total of 867 families or 3,298 individuals have been affected by Taal Volcano activity since July 1.
Of that number, 416 families or 1,712 individuals are currently staying in 16 evacuation centers in the municipalities of Agoncillo, Balete, Laurel, and Nasugbu, Batangas.
While 451 families or 1,586 individuals chose to stay at the homes of their friends or relatives outside the danger zone.
It will be recalled that on July 1, the status of Taal Volcano was placed on Alert Level 3 following the rapid phreatomagmatic eruption in the main crater that occurred around 3:16 p.m.
