Defending hotdog eater broke his own record after eating 76 in 10 mins

American Joey Chesnut broke his record last year for the most eaten hot dogs at the annual Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest.
It consumed up to 76 hotdogs in 10 minutes.
This is Chesnut’s 14th appearance in 15 years where Geoffrey Esper came in second with 50 hotdogs.
Last year, he ate only 75 hotdogs where the contest was held in a private place due to the threat of COVID-19.
It is held every fourt of July in front of spectators on Coney Island.
Michelle Lesco won the women’s category where she consumed 30 and 3/4 a hotdog in 10 minutes.
Miko Sudo did not join this year because she is pregnant.
The contest was first held on July 4, 1916 where many people came to eat a hotdog at Nathan’s stand on Coney Island and the contest was first recorded in 1972.
