The Phoenix Suns need just three wins to taste the first crown in the history of their NBA franchise.

This comes after handing out a win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in the best-of-seven series against rival Milwaukee Bucks with a score of 118-105.

This is despite the fact that two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has returned to the Bucks after two games without playing due to injury.

Veteran point guard Chris Paul once again led the Suns in his all-around game with 32 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds.

What was seen in the game was vintage Chris Paul who was in his 16th season who also scored four three pointers.

In the third quarter alone, Paul scored 16 points, which also heated up the incessant shouting and screaming of the fans.

The last time there was an NBA Finals game in Phoenix was when Michael Jordan won the Chicago Bulls their third straight crown and won Game 6 in 1993.

Five other Suns players recorded double figures that were a big help to their offense.

This included Devin Booker who had no misses on free throw shots and contributed 27 points.

Their big man Deandre Ayton also had a lot of support with 22 points and 19 rebounds which once again proved his breakout post season performance.

On the Milwaukee side, although Giannis led with 20 points and 17 big rebounds, he was spared a few shots especially in the crucial 4th quarter.

The Bucks’ top scorer was Khris Middleton with 29 points including five three point shots.

From the first quarter the Bucks made a claim because in three quarters the Suns were ahead in score.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer admitted that it was very difficult to watch the Suns’ style. But they will recover in the next games.

“Their pick-and-roll game is tough to guard,” Budenholzer said. “We’ll see how we can maybe take away some of the rhythm.”

Game 2 is on Friday at 9:00 a.m. still there in Phoenix.
