The death toll in the burned isolation unit in Iraq has reached 64

Due to the explosion of an oxygen canister at the Al-Hussein Hospital in the town of Nasiriyah, Iraq, the authorities confirmed that 64 occupants died in the fire in the isolation room at the said hospital while many were recovering from the damage.

The provincial foresic science department said they have recovered the bodies of 64 victims, including 39 who have been identified and returned to their families.

Authorities pointed out that the death toll may have increased in the incident after more bodies were discovered buried under the rubble.
