Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial’s bronze medal is also certain after advancing to the middleweight semifinals at the Tokyo Olympics following his knockout of Armenian Arman Darchinyan in just the first round this Sunday morning.
Marcial, 25, of Zamboanga City immediately released the combination and targeted the warehouse of his fellow professional boxer Darchinyan.
A powerful right hook that hit the jaw stopped the fight, with 49 seconds left in round one.
