Meralco Bolts stunned the Magnolia Hotshots 95-94 in the resumption of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup.
Chris Newsome’s buzzer beater shot was key to the Bolts’ win.
Magnolia reached another 13 points advantage until the Bolts reduced the advantage to 93-94 with 25 seconds left.
Game officials did not consider Mark Barroca’s three-point shots after being caught by 24-seconds shot clock violations.
With 4.3 seconds left in the time, Newsome’s layups were lucky enough to win the game.
Because of the win the Bolts have a record of five wins and one man while the Hotshots have four wins and one loss.
