A man in China who completed his 21 day mandatory quarantine after coming from abroad is the alleged source of the new outbreak in Fujan province in China.
According to the report, more than 60 people including 15 elementary school pupils have been newly infected with COVID-19.
The infection first continued in the sibling students in the routine COVID-19 test at an elementary school in Xianyou county in Putian City.
The next day, another student and three parents tested positive for the virus.
Here the investigation revealed that the male parent who came from Singapore was the believed source of the outbreak even though it had completed the required quarantine.
It was found to be negative in 9 tests in 21 days but it turned out to be positive in COVID-19, 37 days after it returned to China.
It will be recalled that China is one of those considered the strictest on border control since the pandemic erupted
