China, has already exceeded its 1-billion target for full vaccination

The number of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in China has exceeded 1.01-billion.
However, due to the more contagious Delta variant China still continues to face challenges for its goal of achieving herd immunity.
A National Health Commission official said more than 2.16-billion doses have been administered to more than 1-billion people.
Of the total number of injections, 170-million doses were given to 95-million teenagers while 390-million doses were given to people over 60 years of age.
China claims to be the world’s leader in the total number of doses distributed to humans, while it is also one of the countries with the highest vaccination rates.
