‘Emong,’ accelerated even more as it approached the extreme N. Luzon – Pagasa

The tropical depression Emong accelerated further as it brought rain to some parts of Luzon.

According to Pagasa, tonight is its closest location to extreme Northern Luzon.

The center of the typhoon was last seen 215 km east northeast of Calayan, Cagayan.

It was heading northwest at a speed of 45 kph.

The bad weather still has a wind speed of 55 kph and a gust of 70 kph.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number one (1) is now up in Batanes and northeastern portion of Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands.
