Marcial, will replace Obiena as male flag bearer at the Olympics

Boxer Eumir Marcial will replace pole-vaulter EJ Obiena as the male flag-bearer of the Philippines at the Tokyo Olympics set to begin on July 23.
The 2019 World Championships silver medalist was chosen because of its more favorable schedule compared to Obiena.
Marcial will enter Tokyo tomorrow from Colorado Springs in the United States where he will spend the last part of his training while Obiena will fly to Japan on the morning of the inaugurals.
