Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz has returned to the Philippines

Filipino pride Hidilyn Diaz is back in the country, two days after winning the gold medal in the weightlifting event of the Tokyo Olympics.
Diaz arrived in the Philippines from Tokyo on Wednesday on his Philippine Airlines flight.
The plane landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport past 5 p.m.
Diaz received a courtesy call from President Rodrigo Duterte via Zoom where he promised him a fully furnished house and lot.
