The number of students enrolled for the School Year 2021-2022 reached 4.7 million.
Based on data released by the Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday, August 17, there are 4,777,942 total enrollments in Kindergarten to Grade 12 in public and private schools nationwide.
Such data is a combination of early registrations and LIS – quick counts.
Most recorded incoming students in Region 4-A with 533,722 enrollees.
This was followed by Region 7 with 411,772 enrollees, and Region 6 with 399,130 ​​enrollees.
Enrollment began on August 16 and will continue until the class opens on September 13, 2021.
