91% of PH provinces and cities are at high risk in COVID-19-Duque

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III reported that at least 91 percent of provinces and cities nationwide are at high risk for COVID-19.

In such areas, 82 percent have high health care utilization and intensive care utilization rates.

Based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) metrics, 70 percent of the COVID-19 hospital beds and ICU beds are occupied in the provinces.

COVID-19 fatality remains high in the elderly.

It was found that as of September 5, the Philippines has registered 4 million senior citizens fully vaccinated while 3.42 million have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines.
