Commemorative stamps by Hidilyn Diaz and 3 other Olympians, launched – PhilPost

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) has formally launched the commemorative stamps in recognition of the Filipino champions who made history at the recently concluded 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The stamps feature the country’s first athlete to win an Olympic gold medal, Hidilyn Diaz.
It also includes silver medalists boxers Carlo Paalam and Nesthy Petecio and bronze winner Eumir Marcial.
Postmaster General and CEO Norman Fulgencio said at the launching held at the Manila Central Post Office Building that the stamps feature the winning moments of the athletes.
“It is a great feeling that some of our compatriots have brought home honor and inspired our town. This is what prompted us here at the Philippine Post Office to issue a postage stamp or stamp that contains a picture of the success achieved by our countrymen in the last Tokyo Olympic Games, â€Âsaid Fulgencio.
