Classes will begin again on Sept. 13 – DepEd

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that on September 13, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the resumption of classes in the country this year.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said the aforementioned date is among the options she gave to President Duterte that could be the beginning of the School Year (SY) 2021 – 2022.
He said in the coming days they will release the school calendar.
According to Briones, they hope that everyone will continue to join them in preparing for the provision of additional education to Filipino children and youth despite the global pandemic.
Briones also thanked President Duterte for his continued support for providing quality education.
