DepEd, accepted the World Bank’s apology

The Department of Education (DepEd) has accepted the World Bank’s (WB) apology for the released synthesis report which stated that students in the Philippines are scared when it comes to Math, Science and English.

The report is titled ‘Improving student learning outcomes and well-being in the Philippines: What are international assessments telling us?’.

“Beyond admitting the mistake went unnoticed, we hope the WB statement clearly emphasizes the commitment and concrete steps the Department, including our partners, is taking to resolve long-standing issues of concern. in the Philippine education system, ”the department said.

Earlier, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that she was insulted and embarrassed by the party.

He said the World Bank should apologize for not even consulting their ranks.
