Number of Filipinos who said they were hard to rise – SWS

The number of Filipinos who said they were poor has increased.

This is according to a survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS) in which 49 percent of Filipinos said they were poor.

The face-to-face survey was conducted from April 28 to May 2.

In the said survey there were 33 percent who were bordeline poor or less poor while only 17 percent said they were not poor.

The said survey is only higher than the previous survey conducted from November 2020 with 48 percent saying they are poor while 36 percent said they are borderline poor and only 16 percent said they are not poor.

SWS asked about 1,200 adult Filipinos in the National Capital Region, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
