Hidilyn, Nesthy, Goodbye, Eumir, awarded the highest Senate recognition

The first-ever Philippine Senate Medal of Excellence was awarded to four Filipino medalists at the last Tokyo Olympics in Japan.
This is the highest honor from the upper house of Congress.
Attending the awarding were weightlifter and Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, boxer silver medalist Carlo Paalam, silver medalist Nesthy Petecio and bronze medalist Eumir Marcial.
At the same time, the senators also gave P1-million to Diaz, P500,000 each to Petecio and Paalam, while P400,000 to Marcial.
