The number of students enrolled for the School Year 2021-2022 has reached 12.6 million.
According to the Department of Education (DepEd) as of 2:00 a.m., Tuesday morning, August 31, the total enrollment in Kindergarten to Grade 12 in public and private schools nationwide is now 12,697,558.
Of the said number, 4,557,327 were recorded in early registration as of June 2, 2021; 7,693,878 enrollees in public; 437,426 in private; while 8,927 in SUCs/LUCs.
Most are still recorded in Region 4-A with 2,073,397 enrollees.
This was followed by the National Capital Region with 1,278,207 enrollees, and Region 3 with 1,173,911 enrollees.
Enrollment began on August 16 and will continue until the class opens on September 13, 2021.
