Validity of student permits, driver’s licenses extended by LTO until March 31
Written by DZAT on January 13, 2021
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the validity of student permits, as well as the licenses of drivers and conductors, until March 31.
This extension is valid for individuals between the ages of 17 and 20, as well as those over 60 and over.
Student permits and driver’s and conductor’s licenses in this age group will be extended because they are required to stay indoors during the height of the quarantine period due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 79, individuals 15 to 20-years-old, as well as those over 60, can only leave the house for essential travel.
This is the third time that the LTO has extended the validity of some of the licenses they have granted due to prolonged restrictions in the middle of the pandemic.
