America has confirmed that ten innocent civilians were killed in a drone strike in Kabul a few days after its military pullout stink.
According to the U.S. Central Command investigation, an aid worker and nine members of his family including seven children were killed in the August 29 strike.
It was learned that the strike was one of the last activities of the US military in Afghanistan before it finally ended its 20-year operation in the said country.
U.S. Central Command Gen. Kenneth McKenzie that US Intelligence also monitored the slain aid worker for eight hours on suspicion that it was related to IS-K militants, a local branch of the Islamic State.
It is said that his vehicle was seen in the compound that is said to be related to IS-K where it was seen in the drone that there were men on board that looked like explosives but it was found to be containers of water.
McKenzie described the strike as a “tragic mistake” while clarifying that the Taliban was not involved in intelligence.
